Type 1 Diabetes symptoms should not be ignored , but often on account of lack of awareness among young peopl , it is ignored. Let us first under what happens when you are having diabetes.

Diabetes means your blood glucose levels are too high. Type 1 diabetes also known as Insulin-dependent diabetes, Juvenile diabetes,are rare in comparision to type 2 diabetes . When you are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, it means that your pancreas does not make enough insulin.

What is insulin & how does it help body ?

Well , insulin is a hormone that helps glucose get into your cells to give them energy. Without insulin, too much glucose stays in your blood. The symptoms in a person affected with Type 1 diabetes are almost similar to another type -type 2 diabetes. However . since  Type 1 diabetes happens most often in children and young adults , very few people actually give attnetion to the fact that they may be uffering from diabetes. Here is the most common symptm list

  • Being very thirsty
  • Urinating often
  • Feeling very hungry or tired
  • Losing weight without trying
  • Having sores that heal slowly
  • Having dry, itchy skin
  • Losing the feeling in your feet or having tingling in your feet
  • Having blurry eyesight
