Securities And Exchange Board of India has twin objectives of protecting the interests of the investors and to promote the development of, and to regulate the securities markets by such measures as it thinks fit. Securities And Exchange Board of India regulates the securities market and SAT acts as a watchdog to ensure justice. Section 15 Y of the Securities And Exchange Board of India Act provides that no civil court shall have jurisdiction to entertain a suit or proceeding in respect of any matter in which an adjudicating officer is appointed under the Act or SAT is empowered by or under the Act to determine and no injunction shall be granted by any court or other authority in respect of any action taken or to be taken in pursuance of any power conferred by or under the Act.
