    Gautam Kaji was the first Indian Managing Director of the World Bank. As per bloomberg.com ” Mr. Gautam Subodh Kaji is the Founder at Centennial Group, Inc. and has been its Chairman since 1998. Mr. Kaji is a Co-Founder at Swarna Dwipa Co. LLP. He has been the Managing Director of Operations and Chairman of World Bank with responsibility for Africa, East Asia and the Pacific and South Asia. Mr. Kaji also led the World Bank’s finance and private sector development programs. He served as Regional Vice President of World Bank for East Asia and Pacific World Bank from 1991 to 1994. Mr. Kaji served as Managing Director of Operations of World Bank for World Bank Group in Asia and Africa from 1994 to 1997.
