  1. Gujarat is the largest producer of groundnut.

As per ethicalpost.in ” Due to the climate change and change in the rainfall pattern, the production pattern is also changing. Gujarat is the largest producer of Groundnut in India with a share more than 50%. In Gujarat, the districts falling in the Kathiawar Peninsula such as Jamnagar, Gir, Amreli, Bharuch, Porbandar and Bhavnagar are the major producers of groundnuts.

Andhra Pradesh holds second place with a share of 12.69%. It is grown extensively in Krishna-Godavari Delta region.  Anantapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, Cuddapah, Warangal, Nalgonda, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam and Mahaboobnagar are the other producing districts.

Groundnut is the major crop under oilseeds in Tamilnadu. It is raised as both rainfed as well as irrigated crop. Thiruvannamalai, Vellore, Villupuram, Namakkal, Erode and Salem districts are the major producers.”
