It is a viscous, nearly homogenous and crystal colloidal liquid that contains a number of a substance such as water, ions, enzymes, vitamins, lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, amino acids and so on. It carries a number of metabolic reactions. Cytosol is in perpetual motion.
