  1. Leucoplasts are colourless plastids. They generally take part in storage of food materials. There are three types of leucoplasts depending upon storage product – amuloplasts, aleuroplasts and elaioplasts. Leucoplasts are mostly present in the storage cells of roots and underground stems.
