No. Technically, human newborns do not cry. They scream or bawl for whatever they want but do not cry. This is because their lacrymal (tear) glands are not developed until the first three weeks of their birth. Some babies may also take as long as five months to develop their tear gland. What we generally hear from a newborn is their scream and not crying.
