Pomegranate: 10 Question Quiz

Pomegranates contain a range of beneficial compounds and studies have shown that they effective against many diseases including cancer, osteoporosis, coronary artery diseases, etc. Owing to the high water content that the pulp contains pomegranates are effective against kidney diseases. They are loaded with important nutrients like vitamin C, K, dietary fibers, etc. Pomegranates are round in shape and red in colour. Sometimes is also called as the ‘seeded apple’. This is owing to the large number of seeds that is enclosed within the pulp of the fruit. A ripe pomegranate contains between 200-1000 seeds. The skin is thick and it encloses the seeds or arils within itself.
