Maggi Controversy Findings: Quiz

Nestle Maggi has been everyone’s favorite for generations and recently the controversy surrounding the contents in the product has thrown the brand into a frenzy. During the routine checking of samples from the retailers some of the packets were found to contain a high level of mono sodium glutamate. It is a flavor enhancer that is popularly used in Chinese foods, canned fruits and vegetables, etc. Although it is described as a ‘safe food additive’, its regular use is still under controversy. Apart from MSG, the sample Maggi packets obtained from some states were found to contain a high level of lead which is highly toxic.
