Employees’ Compensation Act – Part 4

The objective of this Act is that in the case of an employment injury compensation be provided to the injured workman and in case of his death to his dependants. This Act provides security to the employees’ against the unforseen accidents. Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923 provides a complete legislation for the compensation to the employees for the injuries occurred during the course of employment.

The act defines the amount of compensation for the different levels of injuries. There are provisions  relating to the non-compliance of the act. Hence we can say that the Employees’ Compensation Act provides a complete legislation for the protection of employees.
