There are 181 lines of latitude on the globe.

As per Wikipedia “Latitude is a bit more complex. 0° is designated at the equator. Each of the poles is designated as 90°. Heading north of the equator are lines of latitude sometimes called parallels—so called because, unlike lines of longitude which all touch each other at the poles, these lines of latitude never touch one another. So anyway, there are 89 numbered parallels between the Equator at 0° latitude and the North Pole, which again, is designated as 90°N. Then there are another 89 parallels south of the Equator before you get to the South Pole. If you add these together, you will come up with 181 parallels of latitude* (including the equator).”
